HSC 342 - Health Science for the Teacher

3 Credits

A study and analysis of the new health science program for the schools of New York State with primary emphasis on ‘What’ to teach and ‘How’ to teach it. The epidemiological approach will be used as a method for studying problems of drugs, alcohol and tobacco, personality development, family life education, nutrition, dental health and safety.
Prerequisite: junior or senior status.
