HIS 393 - Women and War in the Twentieth Century 3 Credits
This course will examine women’s experiences in war during the
twentieth century on both the battlefront and the homefront. The
course will focus predominantly on women in the United States,
Europe and Asia. The periods to be covered include World War I and
the Russian Revolution, World War II and the Holocaust, the Vietnam
War, and the Yugoslav Civil War. Prerequisite: Advanced class standing and a previous course in the
area; or a general level of competence indicated by three previous
courses in the social sciences and/or humanities. 1.) advanced
