HIS 342 - United States Diplomacy in the Twentieth Century 3 Credits
A study of the factors explaining the emergence of the United
States as a world power, and an analysis of the relationships
between internal developments, dominant personalities, foreign
events and specific foreign policies in the twentieth century. Prerequisite: 1.) advanced class standing and a previous course in
the area; or a general level of competence indicated by three
previous courses in the social sciences and/or humanities 2.)
seminars and colloquia require the permission of the instructor. When Offered: Spring
