CHE 313 - Chemistry and Art


3 Credits

This course is an interdisciplinary study of the properties of materials that are used to create works of art. Emphasis will be on the physical and chemical properties of paint, glass, paper, ceramics, metals and plastics.Note: The course will consist of three credit combinations of lecture, laboratory and seminar.
Prerequisite: upper division standing and successful completion of the Basic Skills and knowledge Foundations requirements in the Natural Sciences or instructor permission.
