The Modern Language courses collectively are denoted by MLL. For example, MLL 101 in French is FRE 101 • Elementary French.
Students may earn up to twelve credit hours equivalent for MLL 101 through 202 courses via the CLEP Examination. Contact the department for further details about policies concerning proficiency credit.
A grade of C- or better is required in the following modern language courses when applied to the major or when used to fulfill the departmental second modern language cognate requirement: 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302, 350, 351. This requirement would be waived in the event a student made the decision to major or declare a cognate after having received a grade below C- in one of the above courses in the applicable language(s), but also a C- or better in the subsequent course(s). |
