The Special Education All Grades (Professional Certification) program is in the Curriculum and Instruction Department, which is one of six departments in the College of Education, Health & Human Services. Visit the program admissions page to apply. 

Program Description

This program will extend your specialized professional abilities to maximize learning for students with mild, moderate and severe disabilities in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 general education classrooms. Courses and integrated experiences will increase your understanding and utilization of research- based practices in literacy, specialized instruction, assessment, data-based decision making, collaboration, positive behavior interventions, and assistive technology for a wide range of learners.

Note: This is a Master’s program for individuals who hold an initial Students with Disabilities teaching certificate.
