Program Description

The goal of the New York State School District Leadership program is to examine challenges and rewards to superintendents and other school district leadership positions. Graduates are prepared to lead districts and serve students and school communities throughout New York State. This pathway is for individuals who are already building leaders and who already hold New York States’ School Build Leadership (SBL) Certification.

EAD 691 - Superintendent Development - A Credit: 3
EAD 692 - Superintendent Development - B Credit: 3
EAD 693 - Superintendent Development - C Credit: 3

Additional Program Requirements

Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) Training
School of Education Professional Dispositions
NYS School District Leadership Certification Exam Parts 1 & 2
Candidates must have a minimum of 60 credit hours at the graduate level to complete this program. Candidates will work with their advisor to create an individualized plan to meet this requirement, if 60 credit hours will not be completed at the end of 691, 692, and 693.
