Track I—Studio Emphasis (40 cr)
A. Foundation Requirements—Studio - 16 cr
B. Studio Requirements - 15 cr
Select one course from the following four: - ART 230 - Introduction to Ceramics Credit: 3
- ART 245 - Introduction to Sculpture Credit: 3
- ART 318 - 3D Modeling and Animation Credit: 3
- ART 324 - Introduction to Book Arts Credit: 3
- ART 215 - Introduction to Painting Credit: 3
- ART 496 - Studio Practicum Credit: 3
Select six credits of Studio Elective courses, not previously taken, from Design, 3D Design, Ceramics, Drawing, Painting, Digital Media, Illustration, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, or Art Synthesis. Transfer students must take ART 322 - Drawing for Transfer Students .
C. Art History/Museum Studies Requirements -9 cr
Track II—Art History Emphasis (40 cr)
A. Foundation Requirements - 13 cr
B. Core Requirements - 15 cr
C. Art History or Museum Studies Electives - 9 cr
Under advisement, choose three, 300 or 400 level Art History or Museum Studies courses.
D. Global Cultures - 3 cr
Select from one of the following:
200 level foreign language
Study Abroad course, under advisement
NOTE: Students must earn grades of C- or better in all courses credited to the major.
Track III - Graphic Design Emphasis (40 cr)
A. Foundation Requirements - 16 cr
B. Graphic Design Requirements - 15 cr
C. Art History/Museum Studies Requirements - 9 cr
Track IV - Illustration Emphasis (46 cr)
A. Foundation Requirements - 13 cr
B. Core Requirements - Illustration - 21 cr
C. Core Requirements - Art History - 6 cr
D. Department Electives - 6 cr
Select two courses not previously taken with a prefix of ART or ARH.
