Art Department
The MA Studio Art program aims to develop the students’ skills and aesthetic understanding in an artistic discipline. Students are required to take courses that blend studio practice with references to art history and theory. Students have the chance to work closely with instructors who are committed to creative work in their own field and encourage students to follow the same path. The program encourages students to strive for the creation of a significant body of art work representing very high levels of achievement.
This selective program emphasizing studio art includes several phases of professional competence in the department with the possible inclusion of other disciplines outside the department when necessary.
