Global Culture Concentration (24-39 cr)


A. Core Requirements 6 cr


B. Elective Requirements 18 cr


Consists of courses focused on the globalization of identities and culture, including global issues concerning language, race, ethnicity, nationality and religion, as well as the structures and implications of flows of ideas across the planet, including the structure of global communications, the impact of the internet, and the globalization of popular culture. Courses must be taken from at least three departments.
Select six courses, under advisement. Courses must be taken from at least three departments.

C. Cognate Requirements 0-15 cr


  • Intermediate (202) level competency in a foreign language of the region under advisement credit 0-12
  • Any approved computer and information literacy course -OR- passing the computer literacy competency exam credit 0-3
