French Minor

Successful completion of the minor requires a minimum GPA of 2.0. At least twelve credit hours of the minor must be taken at Oswego. Students with previous language preparation must substitute 300- or 400-level courses in French, under advisement, for lower level courses. Students without previous language preparation should note that FRE 101 and 102 are prerequisites for the intermediate courses.

- Select language, civilization, or literature courses at the 300- or 400 level in French.
C. Cognate Requirements (None)
Note: A grade of C- or better is required in the following modern language courses when applied to the minor: 101, 102, 201, 202, 301, 302, 350, and 351. This requirement would be waived in the event a student made the decision to minor after having received a grade below C- in one of the above courses, but also a C- or better in subsequent course(s). |
