History Major (39 cr)

Select two courses in World, African, Asian, or Latin American History:

At least one of which must be at the 100 or 200-level; the other may be lower or upper-division.

B. Core Requirements—Specialization (12 cr)

Four upper-division history courses with a geographic or thematic focus, chosen in consultation with a faculty advisor; one of the courses must be a history capstone seminar.

C. Elective Requirements (6 cr)

Two history electives, under advisement.

D. Cognate Requirements (None)

*At least one of the courses taken for the core requirement must focus mainly on the period before 1800.

Note: At least 21 of the 39 hours credited to the major must be in 300-499 courses (upper-division). No SUNY Oswego course in which the student receives a grade below C- shall count toward the major.
