Public Justice Major (36 cr)

- To be selected under advisement from a list of courses approved by the core faculty from participating departments (Anthropology, Sociology, Chemistry, Political Science, Psychology, and Public Justice). The sequence of courses will be individually tailored by the advisor in relation to each student’s career orientation. At least fifteen hours of major electives must be taken at the 300-level or above

*Must be taken at Oswego. Additionally, the following restrictions apply to the Public Justice major program:
- Public Justice majors may transfer to SUNY Oswego a maximum of six (6) upper division elective hours in the major from an accredited four-year or upper division college.
- Internal Transfer Policy: To declare a Public Justice major a student already enrolled at Oswego must have completed at least 30 cr hours with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
- To complete the public justice major a student must receive a grade of C- or better in each public justice core course.
- To complete the public justice major a student must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in the core courses.
- To complete the Public Justice major a student must maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in the elective courses.
- Successful completion of all previous public justice core courses is a prerequisite for admission to each successive core course in the required sequence.
- Admission to core courses after PBJ 201 requires prior departmental approval.
