Music Minor

All students minoring in music are urged to participate in one or more of the music department ensembles. Music minors may select either Music Western Heritage (Music 210 & 211) or Music History Survey (Music 310 & 311) for their core requirements.

B. Elective Requirements (7 cr)
- At least three credit hours of electives, under advisement, must be in music history, music theory, or music industry courses at the 300 or 400-level.
C. Cognate Requirements (None)
Note: A grade of C- or better must be earned in all core courses credited toward the minor.
Transfer students with two (2) semesters of approved Music History Survey transfer credit may petition the Music Department for approval to substitute two (2) semesters of Music Literature courses in lieu of the Music History (Music 310 & 311) requirements for majors.
