POL 389 - Security Studies This course explores contending theoretical approaches to the study of contemporary global security, examines key concepts and relevant debates, surveys specific security challenges, and evaluates attendant policy responses. Subject issues may include alliances, the arms trade, energy security, ethnic conflict, human security, organized crime, peace operations, terrorism, and war.
Prerequisite: 3 credits in Politcal Science or instuctor permission. Offered: Not on a regular basis Credit: 3
