BIO 310 - Microbiology Lecture and laboratory course on the biology of microorganisms, including Archaea, Bacteria, Eukarya and viruses. The diversity of microorganisms will be examined in terms of cellular structures and functions, metabolism, genetics, ecology, and evolution. Positive and negative impacts of microorganisms on human health, biotechnology and the environment will be discussed.
Prerequisite: CHE 212 and BIO 120; or instructor permission. Offered: Fall, Spring Credit: 4
