POL 351 - Public Personnel Management 2012-2013 Catalog Year
This course encompasses all activities related to people in
organizations. The course analyzes the specific responsibilities of
supervisors, personnel officers, and personnel policies. In
particular, it evaluates the effects each of these has on
government’s responsiveness and accountability. It is designed to
examine contemporary personnel administration including the civil
service system, job analysis, performance evaluation, equal
employment opportunity, human resource development, benefits,
employee motivation, and government productivity.
