PSY 451 - Advanced Topics in Abnormal Psychology: Trauma and Loss
2009-2010 Catalog Year
This course examines the study of the psychology of trauma and loss
as it impacts human behavior. The nature of trauma and grief and
the types of loss people experience when they encounter traumatic
experiences, psychological theories of trauma and loss, cultural
and historical issues relevant to traumatic loss experiences, as
well as some of the methods used to study these reactions will be
covered.
PREREQ: PSY 100, 280, 290, and 350 or instructor permission.
