The Bachelor of Arts degree in Cinema and Screen Studies integrates the theory and practice of moving image production, reception, exhibition, and distribution through a core that emphasizes technical, formal, and critical skills and collaborative experiences. A full menu of electives allows students to expand and sharpen their own, particular interests. The Senior Thesis provides an opportunity to develop and bring to completion a creative, scholarly or hybrid project. The major is designed to prepare students for several possible postgraduate options, ranging from film production to graduate study in film theory, history, and preservation.
