CSS 310 - Film Theory An examination of and direct engagement with the key ideas and major debates within film theory from the classical period (20s and 30s) through cinephilia, auteurism and academicization (50s and 60s), structuralism and its sequels (70s and 80s), to the contemporary turns toward politics and embodiment, new historiographies, film philosophy, cognitivism, neuroscience and media archaeology.
