FRE 498 - French Internship This is a semester long internship abroad designed to provide a (pre)professional experiential learning opportunity for academic majors or minors, or an area of career interests. Students will work full-time or part-time in a position which will provide opportunities to analyze and synthesize classroom knowledge in an approved internship setting.
Note: Variable credit one to three, may be repeated for a total of 3 credits. Prerequisite: 1. Completion of forty (40) work hours per credit to a maximum of 3 sh or 120 work hours; 2. a minimum overall and major grade point average of 2.70; 3. approval of the internship position by the faculty sponsor (IP); 4. the completion of all elements of the Learning Agreement.
Acceptance of experience through EXCEL: Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning, an approved position description filled out by Site Supervisor and permission of the student’s major academic advisor and sponsoring faculty member.
