A. Core Requirements (21 cr)

• SOC 100 - Introductory Sociology Credit: 3
• SOC 210 - Theory I: Foundation of Sociological Theory Credit: 3
• SOC 220 - Introduction to Social Research Credit: 3
• SOC 221 - Introduction to Social Statistics Credit: 3

• SOC 260 - Race, Ethnicity, Class, and Gender Credit: 3
• SOC 280 - Social Problems Credit: 3

• Select one course from the following three:

• SOC 310 - Contemporary Sociological Theory Credit: 3
• SOC 320 - Survey Methodology Credit: 3
• SOC 330 - Qualitative Research Methods Credit: 3

• SOC 490 - Senior Seminar in Sociology Credit: 3

B. Electives (15 cr)

Electives under advisement, at least 12 credit hours of which must be at the 300- or 400 level. Students cannot use both SOC 302 and SOC 402 for elective credit. Only SOC 302 can be used as an elective credit.

C. Cognate Requirements (0-3 cr)

Any approved General Education computer and information literacy course
- OR - passing the computer and information literacy competency exam.

Note: A grade of C- or better must be earned in all core courses credited to the major; each of these courses which is a prerequisite for another course in the program must have a C- or better grade attained before taking the course for which it is a prerequisite.
