ECO 382 - The Economics of Cannabis This course applies economic theory and methodology to the rapidly evolving cannabis industry. Topics include the study of both legal and illicit markets for cannabis, the economics of cannabis production, the organization of the cannabis industry, strategic behavior in the cannabis industry, the interaction between cannabis and other intoxicants, regulation and deregulation of cannabis, the external costs and benefits of cannabis deregulation and the taxation of cannabis.
Prerequisite: Sophomore standing; or instructor permission. When Offered: Not on a regular basis Credit: 3
