MGT 301 - Business Analytics This course is an introduction to understanding data and data analytics in business. Learners will be exposed to different ways in which data are analyzed and used to understand the business environment and to make decisions. The course will provide an overview of topics such as data cleaning, data analysis, statistics, data visualization, predictive analytics, and advanced topics. Students will also appreciate the ethical implications of using data to make decisions, as well as popular topics related to data quality and governance. Lastly, students will be exposed to a variety of tools used to make sense of data in business, such as Excel, R, Python, Tableau, and more.
Prerequisite: Sophomore standing When Offered: Fall, Spring Credit: 3
