MET 416 - Remote Sensing and Mesoscale Meteorology Lab Analysis of mesoscale meteorological phenomena (e.g., lake-effect snow, thunderstorms) with satellite, radar and profiler data. Multi-channel satellite imagery will be used to diagnose cloud type and composition. Analysis of radar data, including Doppler, dual-polarimetric, and phased array observations, and use of these data to understand cloud kinematics, dynamics, and microphysics.
Prerequisite: MET 302 (may be taken concurrently) and MET 310 or CSC 212 and MET 350, or instructor permission. When Offered: Spring Credit: 1
