CHA 401 - Introduction to Child Maltreatment and Advocacy


This course serves as an introduction to the study of child maltreatment from different historical, philosophical, cultural, legal, and scientific perspectives. It also provides students with an introduction to how professionals respond to - and prevent - child maltreatment effectively through different victim-centric advocacy approaches.

Prerequisite: PSY 200 or PSY 320 or HDV 323; or instructor permission.
