PHL 225 - Philosophy of Race A critical study of a number of central issues in philosophy of race such as: (i) whether races exist as scientifically respectable kinds, (ii) what makes particular actions,
policies, etc. racist, and (iii) when are particular policies against groups of people racially unjust. The goal will be to critically examine such issues to gain a better understanding of race and race-related issues, with a particular emphasis on how both pertain to the present climate in the United States.
