GCH 437 - Earth Surface Geochemistry An intensive study of the processes that shape the chemical compositions of materials at the Earth’s surface, past and present. Areas of concentration will include aqueous geochemistry, chemical weathering, and marine geochemistry. Associated topics, such as the geochemical records of climate change and environmental pollution will be dealt with.
Prerequisite: GEO 310 or CHE 451, or instructor permission. When Offered: Not on a regular basis Credit: 4
