THT 308 - Gender and the Theatre This course explores gender identities and how they were historically included and/or excluded on the theatrical stage and how they are represented in theatrical narratives. This shall encompass not only men and women, but also non-binary, transgender, and genderqueer perspectives. The course explores the societal pressures, artistic and moral currents and contradictions that have confronted the various gender identities and their involvement in theatre.
Prerequisite: THT 110 and upper division standing, or instructor permission. When Offered: Not on a regular basis Credit: 3
