HIS 353 - The Black Power Movement This course explores and analyzes the origins, development, and legacy of the watershed Black Power movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The course examines how Black Power represented a critical turning point in black-white relations in the United States, as well as in how African Americans viewed themselves.
Prerequisite: Upper division standing or instructor permission. When Offered: Spring Credit: 3
