CPS 310 - Introduction to Counseling An analysis of theoretical approaches to counseling with particular emphasis upon the dimensions of the counseling process, the counselor’s understanding of human behavior, the counselor’s perceptions of self, the client and the counseling relationship for various theoretical systems. A laboratory for practicing basic counseling skills is part of this courses training.
Prerequisite: Upper division standing. When Offered: Fall, Spring Credit: 3
