ANT 331 - Digging Up the Past: Humans and the Environment Through the Ages This course examines changes in the human relationship with the environment associated with the evolution from hunting and gathering, to farming, to complex states. It focuses on population growth, environmental degradation, and depletion of resources in ancient societies such as those of the Egyptians, Sumerians, and Maya, and our own.
Prerequisite: Nine social and behavioral science hours or instructor permission. When Offered: Not on a regular basis Credit: 3
