ART 215 - Introduction to Painting

Introduction to Painting focuses on the development of a working knowledge of materials, techniques, color theory and compositional principles as they relate to the practice of painting. The historical development of painting will be explored as well as the role of painting within the context of contemporary culture.

This course may be repeated for up to 6 credits.
Prerequisite: ART 105 or 210; or instructor permission.
