ART 209 - Typography

Studio course dealing with the study and practice of arranging type, type design, and modifying type glyphs. Course investigates typographic terminology, structures, and methods as tools for visual problem solving. Research into contemporary and historical practices with emphasis on investigating letterforms, alphabets, and typefaces as systems of signs and symbols.

Prerequisite: ART 207 or instructor permission
