ADO 556 - TESOL Methods

Catalog Year 2014-2015

Students will become familiar with theories, methods, and practices concerning the teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). Specific issues explored include: functions of language across cultural and social classes; acquisition of languages; nature of proficiency; goals for learning academic English; and specific classroom pedagogies and practices.

PREREQ: EDU 507 and SPE 504
credit: 3
