CPS 532 - Student Development and the College Environment Catalog Year 2009-2010
This course will cover theories and practices that inform the
nature, purpose, development, and implementation of the learning
experiences of college students. College students’ attitudes,
characteristics, developmental processes, and environmental
considerations will be examined. Select theories that examine the
patterns of growth and development during the college years will be
emphasized. Multiple perspectives will be used to understand and
appreciate the influence of the college and university environment
on student behavior. This course is one of three specialized
courses leading to the program emphasis of Student Affairs
Practice.
PREREQ: Cps 505 and 615 or permission of instructor. OFFERED: Irregular CREDIT: 3
