ANT 111 - Archaeology and Human Evolution 3 Credits
This course introduces students to the vast and fascinating sweep
of human biological and cultural evolution. The first half of the
course addresses evolutionary theory and the evidence for human
evolution derived from human genetics and biological diversity,
primate behavior, and paleoanthropology. The second half presents
archaeological theories and methods, and develops a narrative of
cultural evolution from the earliest tool making, to the rise of
the great ancient civilizations, to current issues in prehistory. When Offered: Fall, Spring
