B. Elective Requirements (18 cr)


  • Six hours in COM and/or JLM and/or PRL prefix courses under advisement (6 cr)
  • Twelve hours in BRC prefix courses, under advisement.  At least six hours at the 300- or 400-level or above (12 cr)

The sequence of elective courses will be individually tailored with advisement in relation to each student’s career orientation.

 

Note: Candidates who seek to transfer within the college to the Broadcasting and Mass Communication major must have a minimum cumulative Oswego GPA of 2.5 to declare the major.  Students majoring in any degree program in Communication Studies are required to earn a least a C-(C minus) in all core and elective courses credited to the major. Students earning less than a C- should seek advisement before repeating any course.
