A. Foundation Courses (27 cr)


  • HIS 298 - Historical Methods Credit: 3
  • United States History (6 credits) - Select one at the 100-200 level and one at the 300 level
  • European History (6 credits) - Select one at the 100-200 level and one at the 300 level
  • World/Transnational/Comparative History (6 credits) - Select one at the 100-200 level and one at the 300 level
  • African, Asian or Latin American History (6 credits) - Select one at the 100-200 level and one at the 300 level

B. Capstone Track (6 cr)


Select one track from the following:

World, Transnational, Comparative, African, Asian, Latin American Track


C. Elective Requirements (6 cr)


  • Six hours of upper division history electives, under advisement.

D. Cognate Requirements (0-3 cr)


  • Any approved General Education computer and information literacy course - OR - passing the computer and information literacy competency exam.

*Research seminar papers in these courses require a second reader determined by the student and the instructor.

Note: A grade of C- or better must be earned in all courses credited toward the major.
