Vocational Teacher Preparation Program–B.S.

A. Arts and Sciences Requirement - General Education (33-39 cr)

Students must satisfy the requiements under BS degree heading in Table II in the Standards and Policies secton of this catalog.

B. Arts and Sciences Requirement—Cognate Requirements (12 cr)

• PSY 100 - Principles of Human Behavior
• PSY 323 - Adolescent Psychology
• PSY 330 - Educational Psychology

C. Arts and Sciences Requirement—Elective Requirements (6-12 cr)

• Emphasis is on courses that enhance the general education development and interests of the individual.

D. Occupational Subjects Specialization (36 cr)

Laboratory course work (usually associate degree transfer credit)

E. Vocational Teacher Preparation—Core Requirements (31 cr)

All VTP pre-student teaching courses require 15 to 25 hours of embedded practica.
