The programs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences “are at the core of the intellectual experience” (D. Stanley, Memorandum, 3/21/08) of SUNY Oswego providing the basis for learning regardless of specialization through the foundations provided by a liberal education for life in a “pluralistic global society” (SUNY Oswego Vision Statement, March 2002).
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is the largest academic division of SUNY Oswego. In addition to 50 Bachelor Degree programs, the College supports four Masters Degree programs.
Along with these master’s degree programs, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has advisement in the areas of pre-law, pre-dental and pre-medical studies — all graduate areas of study.
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has more than 200 faculty committed to facilitating the best possible learning/teaching experiences for all of SUNY Oswego’s students.
