Candidates actively participate in a professional conference by sharing some aspect(s) of their teaching and reflection. The ability to publicly share one?s reflective thoughts, or how one connects a set of ideas (or actions, teaching strategies, curriculum, etc.) to another set of ideas (literacy theories, social justice theories, etc.) is a key characteristic of professionalism.
