CRJ 210 - Introduction to Policing This course provides an introduction to the theory and practice of policing in the U.S. The origins and evolution of American policing will be discussed. This course will examine law enforcement agencies, their organization, and functions. Core police functions, discretion, and civil liability will be addressed. Recent trends and issues in law enforcement will also be covered.
Prerequisite: CRJ 101; or instructor permission. Offered: Spring Credit: 3
