MBA 584 - New Product Design and Development

Catalog Year: 2017-2018

This course introduces current and prospective managers to the new product development process and some of the tools, techniques, and organizational structures required for successful product development in today’s competitive marketplace. The text and lectures supply a view of how new product development typically proceeds in firms. Additional assigned readings and class discussions are used to introduce new techniques, address challenges and explore implications for managerial practice. Students are encouraged to apply what they learn to their own work.

Prerequisite: Graduate standing and MBA Foundation Courses or instructor permission.
Credit: 3
