MBA 602 - Managerial Epidemiology

Managerial epidemiology is the application of epidemiological principals to healthcare management. Decision-making relative to the type and quantity of services provided by a healthcare organization should be related to numerous population variables including the health status and utilization of healthcare of the communities they serve. Topics covered in this course include: basic concepts and principals of epidemiology, measures of health status, population measures of healthcare use, and the application of these measures in determining resource requirements. This course will be taught online but if needed, it can be taught in a traditional classroom setting or as a hybrid course.˜ Prerequisite: Graduate standing or permission of the program director.
