THT 471 - The Elizabethan Theatre

2013-2014 Catalog Year

An in-depth study of the history and development of the theatre of Marlowe, Shakespeare, and Jonson from the beginnings of theatre in Medieval England through the closing of the theatres in 1642. Special attention to the production of Shakespeare’s plays in the Globe, the Blackfriars, and at the Court.

PREREQ: Upper division standing or instructor permission.
