ZOO 575 - Entomology

Catalog Year 2012-2013

A field course emphasizing identification and ecology of the insects. Consideration will also be given to the systematics, morphology, conservation and economic importance of major orders and families of insects. Graduate students will develop a teaching resource such as an appropriately documented collection of specimens or photographs.

PREREQ: Bio 112 (or equivalent), graduate standing, and permission of instructor.
NOTE: This course is intended for graduate students in Education and in-service teachers at the elementary and secondary level.
