EAD 620 - School Business Management for Building and District Leaders Catalog Year 2009-2010
At the conclusion of the course, students will: understand the
resource allocation process as embodied in a school’s budget and
how it can be used to benefit the school; understand the evolving
nature of state aid to public education in New York State, and its
role in promoting equity in funding for education; understand and
be able to explain to others how school taxes are determined and
the role that property assessment and equalization rates play in
establishing tax rates; and understand the role and
responsibilities of the school business administrator.
