ANT 303 - Conservation and Ethical Treatment of Nonhuman Primates2009-2010 Catalog Year An examination of current issues concerning primate conservation and ethical treatment of primates in laboratories and zoos, with a consideration of nonhuman primate intelligence. Includes a survey of the ecology, cognitive abilities and social structures of living primates, social, political and ecological, issues involved in conservation of primate species, and ethical treatment of captive primates in laboratories and zoos. PREREQ: successful completion of Basic Skills and Knowledge Foundations courses, including BIO 120 (or equivalent) or ANT 100 or 111 or instructor permission.
