A Message from the President

It is my pleasure to introduce you to SUNY Oswego, one of the northeast’s most distinguished educational institutions devoted to teaching, scholarship, and service.

Our college is a place of thriving intellectual life and exciting academic pursuits that enrich those who join us in this community. Our community is a residential learning environment filled with new challenges, friendships, and opportunities. We offer a highly evolved and integrated curriculum of liberal arts based programs that help students develop successful careers and meaningful lives. Of course, as such, no university can be adequately reflected in the pages of its catalog. The spirit of our students, the talents and dedication of our faculty, the care and concern provided by the administrative, professional, and auxiliary supporting staff cannot be captured in these pages—  and yet each is essential to the ethos of SUNY Oswego.

This Catalog will provide a starting place to find basic information which we hope will be helpful. But we are also eager to answer any additional questions you may have. Please do not hesitate to seek our professional assistance. We believe you will find that SUNY Oswego is a place of excellence with much to offer through its programs and its people.
